I work with the Chicago Jazz Ensemble and we have a Trumpet Concert coming up on April 11, 2008 at the Harris Theater in downtown Chicago. i am looking for a trumpet teacher for myself. i am 49 years old and have not played since i graduated hs. after that i smoked for 25+ years. i wanted to try and play again. what do you think? i am looking for a teacher with patience and an easy going personality. i also need a teacher who has his or her own space since i cannot have the lessons in my home.

M, I have to cancel again tonight. The situation has become that I have a very severe cold and am having difficulty getting over it. I am on two types of medications and I am to remain on them for 3 weeks.

I will also indicate that at this time I am discontinuing lessons due to problems with my scheduling. I really have wanted to do this for some time but the evenings now are dedicated to my sons lacrosse, and another son's soccer.

My girlfriend is working on getting into Julliard and is looking into some refresher courses, and I was wondering if your lessons would be extremely challenging, adn how much they cost, etc. She already plays very well, and can site read pretty well. for your time

Z. I picked up the trumpet when I was in 7th grade but by the end of 8th grade other things took priority. Life has flown by since but I always wondered what it would have been like had I not stopped. I love the sound of the trumpet and am curious to know if an old dog can pick up an old trick and make it new again.

My son (9) took band at his elementary school in Raleigh (Underwood). He will be starting a new school in Clayton this fall (Southside Christian). He enjoyed playing trumpet and I am looking for a way to have him continue with what he has learned.
