I love music and helping kids and adults learn violin!  I have 5 years experience teaching private violin lessons to individuals and small chamber groups.  I have played violin for over 20 years including orchestras, quartets, church worship, youth bands, and weddings.  After years of studying privately, I went on to get a minor in music at Louisana State University. 

My undergraduate degree is in psychology, and my master's is in language education.  I work full-time as an ESL teacher and am very patient with new learners and kids.

Students will learn to read music, work on performance pieces, and devevlop sight-reading skills.  Students will learn rhythm, intonation, technique, and expression.

I am a friendly, patient, encouraging, and reflective teacher.  My goal is to help you develop confidence and skills.  I will show you want you need to do and give you the responsibility of practicing at home.  Kids especially benefit from developing self-discipline through music.  At any age, you will feel the satisfaction of being able to play any piece of music on your own!
