Marcus was born on November 6, 1977 in Valencia, Spain and grew up in Germany. At the age of seven he started playing the piano. First, his lessons were focused mainly on classical music. As a teenager his musical focus and training shifted towards Jazz, Funk, Latin and Blues and later on Hip Hop and Electronic music. After graduating high school in 1997 Marcus worked for several film and theater production companies and studied to become a high school music teacher. In 2004 he moved to Minneapolis and successfully obtained his associate degree in music production and audio engineering in 2006 at the Institute of Production and Recording. During his studies he worked for Schmitt Music a renowned music school in the Midwest and taught up to sixty students of all levels and ages. Besides teaching Marcus owns and operates a recording studio and writes, produces and performs music. In 2007 Marcus' catalogue of solo music led to a publishing deal with Stray Dog Music Publishing located in Brooklyn N.Y.
